Howells Leisure is a popular 4 star family caravan holiday park situated in Fishguard, Pembrokeshire.
In late 2009 Web Adept were recommended to Howells Leisure to discuss a new website for their business. Howells Leisure main issue with their previous website was that the developer they used had become increasingly difficult to get hold of. The website they had also came with an off the shelf content management system which restricted them in terms of what they could and couldn’t update on their website.
Following the requirements gathering process with Howells Leisure we proposed the best solution was for the new website to come equip with a bespoke content management system that allows them to update exactly what they want on the website. We would then drive traffic and enquiries to the website through a combination of our professional search engine optimisation and pay per click marketing services.
After being commissioned to develop the new website for Howells Leisure the Web Adept design team swiftly produced a fun and striking design aimed at attracting the family holiday market. To help entice enquiries we also used clear and large images, a special offers page and a request a brochure option for data capture, all of which can be updated in house by Howells Leisure.
Following the launch of the new website in 2010 we decided to compare the stats of the old website with the new website as we often do. Interestingly enough we found that on average people now stay on the new website for 2 minutes longer than before which is down to the better design and navigation keeping people’s interest for longer. As a result Howells Leisure benefit from a greater visitor to customer conversion ratio and they now have the luxury of not having to chase their web developer every time they need to promote special offers due to their content management system being built around their exact requirements.
