Ty Gwilym Holiday Cottages is a set of 3 self catering cottages situated in the heart of St Davids, near to the Cathedral and within ten minutes walk of the coastal path Whitesands Bay. Hamish Elvidge of Ty Gwilym approached Web Adept for a revamp after deciding the older version was no longer serving its purpose.
Hamish decided that the website was worth getting right first time. To help he sought the services of Moyrah Gall to provide the Web Adept design team with the photography to the website. After receiving the images it was decided to develop an image gallery on the website so that images get displayed larger when clicked on. A Ty Gwilym Flickr account and link was also set up to showcase extra images taken by Moyrah and also some of those sent to Hamish by people who had taken photos during their stay at the cottages.
The new website boasts a simple design that effectively symbolises the quality of this special 4 star rated retreat and its surroundings. A booking system for each cottage is also integrated to ensure that the website stays sales oriented and gives holiday makers up to date information on prices and availabilities.
Since the launch of their new website, Ty Gwilym have benefitted from increased online enquiries and bookings. The online booking form has helped to entice impulse buyers and reduce unnecessary enquiries from people who can now see when cottages are booked. The website is often complemented for being rich in useful tourist information and for its clear navigation.
